I was woke up by my roommate in the ADPi house at SEMO my sophmore year. I cried as I watched in disbelief.

Yep, I cried at Stray Rescue last night. I fell in love with Tasha, this sweet dog below. Her leg was amputated on Monday, but she is doing wonderful! I even got to take her out for a short walk. I really encourage anyone that is looking to volunteer to come with me one night. And if you are looking for a pet...Don't Shop, Adopt!
So I must admit, I had the BEST birthday!!! What could have been better than having a super fun dress, going to a great bar and being surrounded by awesomely amazing people? I really am super lucky and don't know what I did to make me so deserving. The friends I have in my life rock. Could not ask for a better group of friends who all came out Saturday night.
I guess I should also mention my seriously incredible boyfriend. No one is more amazing. Check out this most perfect present he got me below...

So, all-in-all, my Saturday night was simply wonderful. Great food, phenomenal company and good drinks. Until I was given a few shots of Patron. Downfall. That is what caused me to spend the most gorgeous February birthday weather ever laying on my couch trying to keep bread down. At least my Saturday was fabulous...OH...and I am on vacation from work all this week...AND we are heading here this weekend...
Flight to Philly...cancelled. New connection from Charlotte to Syracuse...delayed. I think God wants me to stay sitting at Gate A17 and just drink Iced Coffees all day long.
So volunteering at Stray Rescue of St. Louis has been such an awesome and rewarding experience! This is the very first dog I fell in love with there. I am considering bringing him home to see how Holly will react (even though I kind of know the answer already - she'll flip). But, if anyone else is interested in him his name is Gulliver. He is great at walking on a leash, is learning to sit while other people and dogs walk by, crate trained, house broken, neutered and up to date on shots. He is also really good with other dogs and cats! He is such a sweet and pretty dog. If I can't have him I really want someone I know to get him so I can visit. :) Selfish, yes...but I don't really care.
Also, we are trying to win the $300k Shelter Challenge of 2011. Won't you vote, please? :)

My best friend ever sent me my most favorite blush ever...Orgasm by Nars. She also sent along two fab palettes and a set of brushes from her store she works at in LA. She's the best. Ever. My goal this year is to get out and visit her. I'm doing it. For.sure.
Well...Nathan is leaving at 3am for the airport to go skiing in Colorado for a few days. I passed on the chance to go. Why would you want to leave the cold and snow for more cold and snow? I'm not sure I understand. I would be going to a beach somewhere to bask in the glory of the sun, but whatevs. I am counting my blessings that I have someone I love and miss already (he just left my house 30 minutes ago). Life is just a bowl of cherries. :)
Around the time approaching NYE I tend to hear a lot of people gripe and complain about NYE because it is built up too much and never lives up to expectations. CAll me crazy, but I love getting dressed up one night (for something other than a wedding) and going out with great friends for some cocktails. This NYE was different than ones in the past, but the fact that I got to hang out with crazy-fun people didnt change. My friends and love are fab and I can't wait to spend another whole year with them in my life!
